Watermelon Juice Recipe | Watermelon Mint Juice with step-by-step pics and a short Youtube video. If you like my video, please do SUBSCRIBE to my channel ‘Asmallbite’. A naturally sweet, refreshing watermelon juice recipe for the summers, also, a perfect thirst quencher, and a heat reducer. It has about 92% of water content, and it’s plenty hydrating. It also helps to burn calories, as it is rich in amino acids, which counts for weight loss. A summer fruit, that is freshly available in the market in abundance and pretty cheap too. It is damn easy to make this juice, just in few minutes what you need is 2 to 3 ingredients. Yet, the little cumbersome task is removing the seeds from the fruit, I bought a seedless fruit, so I prepared the juice in a wink.

Equipment

  • Mixer

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Watermelon
  • 2 to 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 7 to 8 Mint Leaves
  • 2 to 3 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • Few Ice Cubes

Instructions

Cutting the Watermelon

  • First, cut the watermelon from the center. If you are cutting only half, cut only one side of the end.  Just cover the other half with plastic wrap and store it in the fridge. Then, place it on the cutting board (flesh part down towards the board), and start peeling the rind with the knife. Make sure you cut one section at a time and don’t cut the flesh while doing it.
Once the peeling is done, cut the watermelon in whatever shape and size you desire.
Take out the seeds as much as you can before making a juice or storing it (the watermelon I used did not have many seeds).
No white part should be remaining on the cut watermelon. Remove the rind completely.
Measure 2 cups of watermelon in a bowl.
Notes: Ensure to remove the rind and seeds of the watermelon properly, else the juice tastes bad.

Other Ingredients

  • Then, measure 2 to 3 tbsp of sugar, 1/2 piece of lemon, 7 to 8 mint leaves, and few ice cubes.
Quick Tips: Skip the sugar completely or can be substituted with palm sugar or honey.

Making the watermelon mint juice

Notes: Never add water to make this juice.
  • Then, add the sugar.
Quick Tips: 1/2 tsp of black salt or regular salt can be added, as it gives a delicious flavor to this juice (optional).
  • Now, add 7 to 8 mint leaves.
Notes: Mint leaves adds to the taste of this drink and make it even more refreshing.
  • Blend for a few seconds and the frothy watermelon juice is ready.
  • If preferred, squeeze 1/2 lemon over the juice for a tangy taste.
Notes: If making for fasting, skip the lemon juice and add rock salt/sendha namak.
  • Then, pour the juice into a glass tumbler, add a few more ice cubes and serve chilled.
Quick Tips: If your watermelon had seeds in it, or you want your juice to be less pulpy, pour it through a fine-mesh sieve and filter it.
Notes: This juice will stay good for 3 days under refrigeration. The juice will separate over time, stir it with a spoon and then consume.
