Mango Shrikhand Recipe or Mango Amrakhand recipe is a very simple yet delicious dessert. It is a famous dessert in Maharashtrian and Gujarathi cuisine. When Mango puree is added to plain shrikhand, it becomes amrakhand. We can have this exotic dessert with puri‘s also.

Mango Shrikhand Recipe or Mango Amrakhand recipe is a very simple yet delicious dessert. It is a famous dessert in Maharashtrian and Gujarathi cuisine.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Hung Curd
  • 1/2 Cup Mango Puree
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 Pinch Cardamon Powder
  • 1 tbsp Assorted Nuts
  • 4 to 5 Strands Saffron Optional
  • Mango Pieces Optional for garnishing

Instructions
 

  • Hung curd in a muslin or any thin cloth for at least 2 hours. Drain water completely. Keep it in a mixing bowl.
  • In mixer puree the mango without adding water. Take the mixing bowl, add sugar, mango puree, cardamon powder to the hung curd. Whisk everything well. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Transfer the contents to a serving bowl.
    Garnish Shrikhand with nuts and saffron. Serve chilled.

Notes

Tips for Amrakhand Recipe

  1. Use good quality and sweet mangoes like Alphonsa or any non-fibourus variety.
  2. Don't use sour curd. Use only hung curd for this Shrikhand.
  3. You can also use ready-made mango puree for this Amrakhand recipe.

Method for Mango Shrikhand Recipe
