Mango Mastani Recipe is a famous and delicious drink from Maharashtra cuisine, especially Pune. We can also call this drink as patented drink of Pune. Mastani drink is basically a thick milkshake, served with ice cream, and topped with nuts, sliced mangoes and cherry. Pune’s Mango Mastani is such a heavy and filling drink that we do have to skip the breakfast or lunch also.

Mango Mastani Recipe | How to make Pune's Mango Mastani
Ingredients
- 1 Large Mango
- 3/4 Cup Milk
- 1.5 tbsp Sugar
- 2 Scoop Vanilla Ice cream
- 2 tsp Mixed Nuts Chopped (Cashews, Pista, Almonds)
- 2 tsp Tutti Fruiti
- 2 Cherries
- 1 tsp Chopped Mango Pieces
Instructions
- Get ready with all the ingredients in a separate plate - Milk, chopped mango pieces, cherries, tutti fruiti, nuts, ice cream and mango.
- Wash and peel the skin of mango, chop into cubes, reserve some pieces for garnishing. In a mixture, puree the mango with sugar.
- Add chilled milk and blend it again until creamy texture. Adjust sugar for sweetness.
- Take a serving glass, pour mango milkshake till 3/4 of the glass. Scoop out ice cream on top.
- Finally garnish with nuts, mango pieces, tutti fruti and cherry in center. (Garnish as per your preference).Serve it chilled or else ice cream melts.
Notes
Tips for Pune's Mango Mastani Recipe
- Use good quality and fibreless mangoes. I use Banganapalli mango.
- You can replace vanilla ice cream with mango ice cream.
- You can also use canned mango purees for the Mango Mastani Recipe.
