- Mangoes – use fresh, pulpy, ripe, and sweet ones. Do not use mangoes that are fibrous or sour.
- Yogurt – using fresh yogurt is the key feature, as this a yogurt-based recipe. Sour curd will totally spoil the taste. Yet, Greek yogurt is another option but dilute the lassi with some water or milk.
- Sweeteners – sugar is the unanimous option, still, there are alternatives like coconut sugar, palm sugar, jaggery, raw unrefined sugar, maple syrup, and honey.

Equipment
- Mixer
Ingredients
1 Cup = 250 ML, 1 tsp = 5 ML
- 1 Cup Mango
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 1 Cardamom Pod
- 1 Cup Thick Yogurt
- 1 Cup Milk
Instructions
- Measure 1 cup of chopped mango (use sweet and fibreless mango). Freeze it for 3-4 hours, as it makes the lassi very creamy, but this step is optional. Then, measure 1 cup of thick yogurt, 2 tsp of sugar, 1 cardamom pod, and 1 cup of milk.Note: Use yogurt that is fresh and not sour.
- To a mixer / blender, add the sugar and cardamom pod (can substitute with 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder).
- First, run the mixer roughly, so the sugar and cardamom pod gets powdered well.
- Then, add the chopped mango cubes.
- Blend it once or twice, if there are few mango chunks, it's fine.
- Now, pour the thick yogurt.
- Immediately, pour the milk to thin the lassi consistency, else might turn out quite thick and heavy.
- Blend until smooth and add some more milk if the lassi is too thick.
- Pour it into serving glasses.
- Finally, garnish with saffron strands, almond and pistachio slivers, or mint leaves as preferred.Serve this Mango Lassi Recipe chilled.

- Use ripe, sweet, deep yellow-colored mangoes for a good taste and look.
- I used fresh mangoes, it can be replaced with ready-made/canned mango pulp or frozen mangoes too.
- Freezing the chopped mangoes for 3 to 4 hours makes this drink very creamy. But this step is totally optional.
- Use fibreless mangoes, otherwise strain the puree, and then use it.
- Sugar can be replaced with honey, powdered jaggery, palm sugar, maple syrup, or coconut sugar.
- Adjust sugar accordingly to your taste. If the mangoes, you use are too sweet, skip the sugar completely.
- Try to use yogurt that is fresh and not sour. As sour curd will totally spoil the taste.
