Krishna Janmashmashtami is also called by other names like Gokulashtami or simply as Janmashtami which marks the birth of Lord Krishna, the eight avatars of God Vishnu. It is celebrated by Hindus all over India and abroad too. In Tamilnadu, people draw little feet of Lord Krishna and other kolams using rice batter. They observe fast, dress small kids like Lord Krishna and make a lot of prasadams. I have shared 30+ Krishna Janmashtami recipes / Sree Krishna Jayanthi recipes that include sweets like palkova, maida appam snacks like murukku, seedai and payasam varieties too. All recipes are shared with step by step pictures, detailed procedure and tips. Please click the pictures in this collage, to read the recipes.
