Notes
Tips for Oreo Fudge Brownies
1. Use soft and fresh butter only. If using salted butter, skip the salt in the ingredients list. 2. Butter can be replaced with the same quantity of oil. But use any flavourless/neutral oil or olive oil. 3. White sugar can be replaced with brown sugar or cane sugar too. But it will impact the colour of the brownie. 4. Ensure to use curd, at room temperature only, not cold. 5. Don’t use sour curd, as it will spoil the whole taste of the brownies. 6. For a healthier version, this Eggless Oreo Brownie Recipe can be made with wheat flour also. But the brownies will be relatively dense. 7. Sieving the dry ingredients is a must to avoid lumps and for even mixing. 8. Use good quality cocoa powder, as the whole taste and colour of the brownies come from it. 9. For more chocolaty flavour, increase the cocoa powder to 2/3 cup. 10. For a coffee flavour, 1/2 tsp of instant coffee powder can be added. 11. Don't over bake the brownie, else it turns hard. After 25 minutes keep an eye on it. 12. Always cool the brownie and then slice it, else it gets crumbled. 13. This brownie stays good for 3 to 4 days under room temperature. 14. In Microwave: Preheat it and bake the brownie in convection mode at 180c for 35 to 40 minutes. 15. The shelf life of this Oreo Fudge Brownies is 2 to 3 days. Common Tips in Baking- Baking powder cannot be substituted with baking soda, both are different.
- Ensure baking powder and baking soda is within the expiry date, else the brownie won't raise and turns spongy.
- Once you prepare the batter, bake it immediately, otherwise, the leavening agents de-activate and the brownie won't raise.
- Choose the correct sized baking tray, else while baking itself the brownie overflows. To avoid this fill the batter to 1/2 of the tray.
- If the brownie doesn’t get baked in the center, cover the tray with aluminum foil or butter paper and bake for another 10 minutes.
