Chilli Chapathi Recipe with step by step pics and a short Youtube video. If you like my video, please do SUBSCRIBE to my channel ‘Asmallbite’. This Chilli Chapati recipe is a merge of Indo-Chinese cuisine. The process is quite simple only, chapatis are cut into cubes, tossed with onion, capsicum and some sauces. It is a great idea to use the leftover chapatis and we have a happy feeling that we have not wasted any food.  Also, kids who hate to eat chapati also like this dish. Actually, in restaurants, the chapatis are dipped in batter and deep-fried in oil till crispy, I have given that method too in the tips section. But the version I have shared here is not deep fried and low calorie one, so once in a while, you can enjoy it happily! It is also a delicious and great dinner idea. Notes

Tips for Chilli Chapati Recipe

1. I used homemade chapati, you can try it with readymade or leftover ones too.
2.  I used my kitchen scissors to cut the chapati. Usually, restaurant-style Chilli Chapati looks bigger, so I chopped a little big.
3.  For a complete Hotel Style: Mix 2 tbsp All purpose flour / cornflour + 2 tsp chilli powder + salt + water to form a batter. Dip the chapati pieces in the batter and deep fry it in oil. But the cooking time and the calorie count increases in this method.
4. Adjust green chilli and chilli powder as per spice level preferred.
5. For a bright colour, use Kashmiri chilli powder or 1 pinch of red food colour (I didn’t use).
6.For more flavour, 1/2 tsp of garam masala powder can be added for this Chilli Chapathi Recipe.
7. Don’t add soy sauce more than mentioned, else the dish turns darker.
8. Be little alert while adding salt, as the chapati and sauces have added salt in it already.
9. For more spiciness, 1/2 tsp of pepper powder can be sprinkled at last.
10. Coriander leaves can be replaced with spring onions also.
