Carrot Puree Recipe for Baby | How to Make Carrot Puree for Babies with stepwise pics and a short YouTube video. According to me, the carrot is a superfood, when introducing to solid diet as it has all the essential nutrients for growth. It helps to improve the eyesight, a good remedy for intestinal worms and relieves from constipation too. Carrots can be fed to babies from 6+ months, as it will be easy to digest, but puree it till smooth and ensure there are no chunks, else it may lead to choking hazard to your baby. Always, consult your baby’s paediatrician before giving carrots due to the nitrate content may be dangerous, so never feed carrots for babies under 6 months.  Also, if you like my video, please share it and don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE to my channel. Notes

Tips for How to Make Carrot Puree for Babies

  1. Choose fresh, firm and bright-coloured carrots for a good taste. Avoid using, aged or carrots with holes.
  2. Peel the skin of the carrot thoroughly, to get rid of any dirt or pesticides present by chance.
  3. Make sure to cook the carrot till soft and completely mushy.
  4. Always use sterilized vessels, spoons, mixer/blender and boiled water only, when preparing food for your baby or keep everything separately.
  5. If the puree becomes too thick, add boiled water/formula or breast-milk to adjust the consistency while feeding.
  6. Never give white sugar or salt till 1 year for your babies as it is loaded with harmful chemicals. If needed, use natural sweeteners like honey, dates syrup or jaggery, palm jaggery, palm sugar once in a while.
  7. This carrot puree can be stored in the refrigerator for 3 days but my choice is to prepare fresh ones daily.
  8. You can give about 50 ml to 100 ml of this puree to your baby. At first, introduce only a small portion, if your baby is well, continue with it.
