- 1 Cup Beans
- 1 Big Onion
- 2 Green Chilli
- 2 tbsp Moong Dal
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1.5 tsp Sambar Powder Link for Sambar Powder
- 1 tbsp Grated Coconut
- Salt To Taste
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Urad dal
- 1/2 tsp Jeera
- 1 Red Chilli
- 1 Pinch Hing
- 1 Sprig Curry Leaves
- 3 tsp Oil
Trim the edges of the beans. Wash and chop the beans, onion and slit green chilli. Soak moong dal in water for 30 minutes and drain water.
Heat oil in a kadai and temper with the items given under the table 'To Temper'. Add Onion, green chilli and fry till transparent.
Now add beans, turmeric powder, sambar powder and salt. Sprinkle little water and add soaked moong dal. Cook for 5-6 minutes in low flame. Finally add grated coconut and mix well.
Serve this Beans Stir Fry Recipe with steamed rice and sambar.
3. Don’t overcook beans or else it will lose crunchiness.
